EnergySolaris was delighted with the results of a recent 6-week project with the University of Cambridge, Department of Engineering, Institute for Manufacturing. International MPhil students (from China, France, Nigeria and Switzerland) in the ISMM program provided a broad analysis of our system’s techno-economics, with a focus on energy storage aspects and investor expectations. Their analysis included interviews with leading climate-tech VCs, researchers and industry, a new spreadsheet analysis tool, and a smorgasbord of fresh market insights. We are especially grateful to the students, their supervisor, Vanessa McNiven, and to all those who supported the project with their time. A special thanks to Nick Sullivan for the idea, and for introducing us to the ISMM course directors.
